Ted Stilles and Friends (Our Home Movies)

Ted Stilles and Friends (Our Home Movies)

Music connects me with my emotions and helps me find my bearings when life becomes uncertain. Making and sharing it is my way of reaching out to others who might be looking for that same connection.

Ted Stilles and Friends (Our Home Movies) brings together 18 songs and their independently created videos in a continuous 46-minute, 18-second presentation.

To connect them, I used a photograph of my former studio, taken from behind my desk. Through iMovie’s Picture in Picture feature, each video plays on the monitor within that photograph. The studio becomes our shared viewing room, with each song opening another window into the music.

These recordings bring together friends, collaborators, and different musical approaches. They reflect my search for connection, composure, and room to create during changing times. I hope you find something here that speaks to you as well.
